Starosel Wine and SPA:

Wine & SPA Complex "Starosel" is located in one of the most beautiful mountains in Bulgaria - Sredna Gora. It is less than two hours drive from Sofia and offers its guests a wonderful bouquet of experiences. The breath-taking nature and rich history of the region in combination with Starosel's acknowledged cuisine and marvelous wines, deliver the unforgettable sensation of true peace and comfort. The Enoteca of the wine cellar is located in a rotunda right under the garden of the complex. This is the place where Starosel's guests get carried away in Dionysus' Temple and experience a glimpse of the wine cult, the Thracians had in their lives.

"Starosel" winery combines both traditional practices and modern technological achievements. This is the key to produce high quality wines, that can easily claim the title "successors" of the famous wines of ancient Thrace.

The annual capacity of the cellar is 1200 tons of grapes. For more than 12 years "Starosel" wines are on leading positions in the national and European market and have been honored with many highly regarded wine awards.


Panagyurishte:

Panagyurishte is situated on a small plain in the Sredna Gora, on both banks of the Luda Yana river. In the 4th century B.C. there was a Thracian settlement near where the present-day town is located. During the Middle Ages this settlement was known as Kamenograd (Litopolis). Panagyurishte was founded after the Ottoman incursions into the Balkans - at the end of the 15th century.
